Is there any difference between the Verisk Certified Extreme Event Modeler™ (CEEM™) Program and the Verisk Certified Catastrophe Risk Modeler™ (VCCRM™) Program?
No, there is no difference. The Verisk Certified Catastrophe Risk Modeler (VCCRM) Program is the new name for the Verisk Certified Extreme Event Modeler (CEEM) Program.
What is the format of Verisk’s Boston VCCRM Program?
The program will have two options for attendance, either virtual or in-person. In-person registrants will attend the full five-day program at Verisk’s Boston office, which includes hands-on training with our software. They will also be invited to attend social outings on Monday and Thursday. Virtual attendees will join the same sessions via Microsoft Teams or a similar platform, with one of our experts managing questions for a seamless virtual experience.
Will the course content differ between the virtual and in-person programs?
No, the program will contain the same content for virtual and in-person attendees.
How much does the hybrid program cost?
The standard tuition fee is $5,000 for in-person attendees and $4,500 for virtual attendees. The difference for the in-person program is due to additional hosting costs, including staffing, daily breakfast and lunch, and social events. The fee covers all prerequisites and core classes. Payment is due upon registration. If you are unable to attend the session you registered for, your payment will be applied to a future session.

How do I modify my registration?
Click 'Already Registered' at the top right corner of your screen next to Register now. Enter the email address you used to register and your confirmation number. Once logged in, select ‘Modify’ from the top navigation. Make modifications as necessary. Click the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of each page to proceed. Once you have made all modifications, select ‘Finish’ from the Summary page.
What if I change my mind about wanting to attend in person or I am prevented from attending in person due to changed circumstances?
For all attendees who sign up to attend in person, if circumstances dictate or if you simply prefer to attend virtually, we will transfer the registration to a virtual one and refund the difference. Please contact us at least one week prior to the program's start to receive a refund.
Can I earn the VCCRM credential from either the virtual or in-person program?
Yes, the same VCCRM certification can be earned regardless of whether you attend virtually or in person. Attendees can take the exam on the last day of the program or on one of several dates scheduled over the rest of 2026, to be provided as needed.
What is the dress code for the program?
The suggested dress code is smart casual. Meeting room temperatures vary, so we recommend dressing in layers.

What is the health and safety policy?
Verisk is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all Verisk Certified Catastrophe Risk Modeler Program - September 2026 participants. We are working closely with the Verisk Boston Office staff to ensure effective health and safety protocols are in place prior to and during the event. We all share in the responsibility for a safe and healthy event—the event organizer, the venue, and all participants.
As part of your responsibility as a participant, if you are not feeling well, please let a member of the Verisk team know without delay. Until you are feeling better, please do not attend any conference events. If an attendee needs assistance or medical attention or becomes aware of a potential safety or security issue, notify a member of the Verisk Certified Catastrophe Risk Modeler Program - September 2026 staff, or you can contact Verisk’s Global Protection Services by emailing eventsecurity@verisk.com, which is closely monitored.
What is the event code of conduct?
Verisk is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all meeting and event participants. All participants, including but not limited to attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, staff, and service providers, are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Code applies to all Verisk meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than Verisk but held in conjunction with Verisk events, either in public or private facilities. What is the event filming/photography notice?
Photography, audio and/or video recording may occur during Verisk Certified Catastrophe Risk Modeler Program - September 2026 (the "Event"). By registering and attending the Event, I understand I may be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded. The collection and use of such images and/or recordings are subject to the Insurance Services Office, Inc. Privacy Notice.
